Plan Your Kitchen Design: Good Organization Will Make It Efficient

It is important to think about the renovation of kitchens, as it is a very important room for many, for some for being one where you spend much of the time, and you can even dazzle you because it has a striking aesthetic in the fronts of the cabinets or handles, and if it is important that you provide a good decor and to your taste, but you should not leave aside the logic, or a clear order of orientation.

A common thought is to move forward as we go. This may refer to when we’re in the construction process and we assign measurements for the place of cabinets, where the stove, fridge, and freezer will go, and if we’re adding an island, we assign a height and length. But what happens when we go to install the appliances and find ourselves with two possible situations: either the space we allocated is not enough for what we want to place, or it’s too spacious, which leads to wasted unused space.

Who to turn to for good organization.

There is no better option than consulting with experts. We can rely on an interior designer, an architect, or even the workers who have experience in these situations and can give us some guidance. A good recommendation to follow is to have the appliances already on the property, or at least have their dimensions clear, before moving forward with the construction of the kitchen.

What points should I take into account when designing it?

Here are a few things to consider in your design:

Respect enough space for good circulation.

Keep a reasonable distance between the stove, fridge, and washing area.

Consider your height for the measurements of counters and cabinets.

Check natural light points; you’ll need them a lot.

Make sure to leave space for natural ventilation—windows or areas without walls could be an option. Since this is a room where you’ll have high temperatures, the space may also increase in temperature.

Consider having space for an extractor. This will help contain grease splashes and hot air produced by the food you’re preparing.

Avoid having just one access. This is to prevent crowding or bumping into each other. At some point, you’ll be cooking with a companion, and you’ll need space to move in and out without crashing into each other.

Take these points into consideration, and you’ll see that you’ll create a welcoming space for the family. It may seem like doing this will increase the cost a little, but in reality, you’re likely saving money on future remodels or adjustments that will result from poor planning or organization. Remember that being cautious and acting early in anticipation of future situations will always bring more benefits than setbacks. We’ll bring you more points or design recommendations in the future to help you achieve your desired kitchen.
